If you've met our wee inn dog, Finn, then you know how special she is.
If you haven't had the pleasure, likely you've at least seen some of the numerous appearances she's made on our Facebook page. Or perhaps you'll just have to take our word for it... She's a great big personality in a tiny, furry package. And now, she has chosen to make a nice donation to the wonderful people who brought us together.
Finn came to live with us in October 2012, after being surrendered by her previous family at the SPCA of Hancock County in nearby Trenton. Poor little sweetie was not in good shape at all. Her history is mostly unknown to us, but it is clear her first eleven years did not feature proper care, nor socialization. Simply put, she was in a very bad way both physically and emotionally.
Things are very different now, and all for the better! She's all "tough and fluffy": Happy, healthy, and full of life! We like to think she's started life all over and has another eleven great years ahead of her still.
Finn is so grateful for the care and kindness she received from the folks at the SPCA that she persuaded us to put together a special donation in her name. So during our Spring season this year, our first six weeks of operation, a portion of all lodging revenue taken in was set aside as a gift, from Finn.
We are thrilled to have sent a check today for more than $1200 to help these fine people in their important work of helping more animals like Finn, in their searches for health and happiness. Learn more about this great organization at: spcahancockcounty.org
